Almost there ^.^

In most respect its quite a good picture, a great idea and well executed.

Although the hair needs to be more defined. Think about the weight of the lines - thin, thick, narrow, wide etc because it seems like the darkest tones is the lineart for the eyes and the head/neck. So do the same sorta tone for the shadows in the hair, so it looks more refined. Plus the light reflecting off the hair is usually zig zagged slightly rather than a straight edge....but thats just typically speaking.

I have to disagree with the comment below by Hoboweasel, the mouth doesnt need to be any larger, but i would suggest have a slightly narrower shadow under the bottom lip. A nose wouldnt do that much difference either. It seems to work pretty well without. Well done, keep it up =D

drop-of-water responds:

Thank you very much :D and that was very good tips that you gave me :D:D:D

Question?

Are you crazy? =P

Something that size with a pencil, that requires a hell of a lot of patience =| How did you stick with it? I can understand/ appreciate your persistence and technical skill ^.^ well done

=O

This is to a way higher standard than most in the art portal ;P

Love the perspective, nice technique, how did you get the txtures on the floor and stuff? ....Now all you are missing is Gray Fox XD

Whats your DA?

Photoshop?

Was this done in Photoshop? Custom brushes or default?

Outstandingly done, i would say its near perfect tbh =D

LaserKarl responds:

Thank you!

Yes, this is done in photoshop, but mostly with my own brushes.

Pff

Pff dont know what Gaiacarra is on about, far from 'underwhelming' Its really quite intriguing to me, what was the idea behind it? What were you trying to show? Its an unusual image and one that strikes me as some what unique ^.^

LaserKarl responds:

Thank you.

I started this a while back after some time of heavy drinking. I was tierd of alcohol, and tierd of hangovers. While having a headache i one morning started this and tried to get my thoughts on the matter into a picture.

Nice stuff!

This is outstanding in more ways than one ;)

Nice use of crosshatching for the textured clothes and the lighting is superb. Did you use reference or is this stuff all from memory =P

ItoSaithWebb responds:

I did use references but only loose ones and that is usually how I like to work.

Wow thats really good, i like the use of colours in this. Ive always found green and brown looks so cool together even though theres technically no complimentary colour for brown.

Can i ask what the intention was behind this picture, what were you trying to convey...if anything =/

=|

Awww i just love your work, theres always that great use of colour. Plus your technical skills are just oustanding. Im pretty sure ive seen you on DA too...either that or someone with a very similar style hehe =P

Schlady responds:

I'm on DA too... just thought I'd show work at NG too!

I see no faults

Nice work, the highlights and shadow are very well placed. Shows a good understanding of light and dark. I hope i can expect more like this *shakes fist* =P

What program did you use btw?

Nakura-Chan responds:

photoshop cs4 and thank you

Painter?

Was this in Corel Painter? I really like the textures and the way you coloured it in. One that would seem harder to do in PS. Id like to see more like this tbh.

Koel-Art responds:

Done in Artrage 2, really cool program :)
